Dr. Gealy graduated with Honors from the University of California at Berkeley in 1973 and received his MD degree from Yale University School of Medicine in 1979. He completed a three-year residency at the Jules Stein Eye Institute in UCLA and a subspecialty fellowship in diseases and surgery of the retina, vitreous, and uveitis at the Scripps Clinic and Research Foundation. Dr. Gealy has been practicing on the Central Coast for nearly twenty years.

M. Basich, MDFrank M. Basich, MD specializes in the management of cataracts, glaucoma, and diabetic retinopathy. He graduated from Stanford University with a BS degree in chemistry in 1985 and earned his MD degree at UCSF School of Medicine in 1989. After a three-year residency at the Doheny-USC Eye Institute in Los Angeles he joined the staff of the Sinakey Eye Center for two years to further develop his cataract, refractive, and corneal surgery skills. He then fulfilled a long held desire to practice ophthalmology in the third world by being the sole ophthalmologist for the island of Dominica in 1996.

R. Horne, ODJoe R. Horne, OD specializes in optometry, providing comprehensive eye exams to evaluate each patient’s vision and eye health. He prescribes glasses, contact lenses, and low vision aids to patients with significantly decreased vision. He received his undergraduate degree with Distinction in Pre-Medicine from the Universiy of Nevada at Reno in 1986 and his Doctor of Optometry from Southern California College of Optometry in 1990. Dr. Oelker graduated in physics magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa from the University of California at Irvine. He is a graduate of UCLA School of Medicine, completed his internship at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles and his ophthalmology residency at the University of Oregon. Dr. Oelker, formerly with Central Coast Eye Associates, has practiced in San Luis Obispo and North Santa Barbara counties for over twenty-four years.
